It was a long day, for everyone, and now finally everyone returned to their rooms, but for arnav and khushi it was a special night, it was after all their first night as a true married couple as husband and wife, arnav planned to give khushi the night of her life, it was around 10:00 pm khushi finished her work in the kitchen and was returning back to arnav's room she opened the door and saw her wedding lengha placed on the bed with a note, she unfolded the note to read

khushi: (o hearing his voice she got up on her elbow and looked at him with her big eyes in shock) your awake

arnav: (yawning) ya I am, I got up when u were touching my face

khushi: why didn't u tell me

arnav: uh.. I wanted to see what u would do khush

khushi: made a face, then she realized that he called her khush so she gave him a confused look

arnav: (realized and explained) from now on for me your khush, I want to have a special name that only I call u,

Arnav: (grinning) means they work for me

Shyam: (shocked) what, but...

Arnav: so shyam, ur plans seem to be failing

suddenly from behind a voice comes from behind and starts to speak

shyam shocked to see him talk and move he thought that he shut the old man up forever

shyam: oh arnav get a life she was never yours u married her only for 6 months, u never loved her, u can never love her the way I do

khushi: (trying to untangle from his hands) leave me, I hate u, I can never love u leave me, arnavji help help (she cried)

shyam: no use khushiji ur mine (he tighten his grip)

arnav was getting ready to punch him hard when suddenly a gun noise came from behind, shyam turned around and saw akash and pari with the police and the lawyer, he loosened his grip over khushi without knowledge and she took advantage and ran towards arnav and flew into his arms, he caught her, he comforted her and kissed her cheek, the police arrested shyam,

inspector: shyam manohar jha u are under arrest for kip napping, attempt to murder, trickery and forgery of mr arnav sighn raizada's will

shyam: (was taken by surprise) inspector, arnav signed the will himself its not forgery

lawyer : (took out the original will, and then the will that shyam had submitted in court and showed him the two different signatures) that's the real signature (he pointed at the first copy) and that's ur signature (he showed him the other one)

shyam: but arnav signed the will in front of me

arnav: u think I am that stupid to just sign anything before reading it, shyam I run a leading multinational firm, I read everything twice before signing it, even if it's a blank paper, inspector shyam monhar jha black mailed my wife to sign the papers,

The constable tightened the grip on shyams hand cuffs, shyam started to plea realizing that it was the only way out of this mess

Shyam: arnav please rani sahiba, forgive me (he pleaded as the police was taking him away)

Anjili: stop

They stopped arnav looked at his sister, she walked upto shyam and looked at him straight in the eye

Shyam: rani sahiba I knew u would not let this happen please save me

And the next thing he knew was that he felt a loud thump on his cheeks anjili just slapped him

Anjili: never ever show me ur face again (she said with a stone cold voice)

The inspectors took him out, anjili fell to the floor, and off corse everyone ran to console her, after all the sorry and mushy melodrama they all returned home

chapter 10

The next day came by, the light broke upon khushi's face, she woke up and had a smile on her face she turned to the other side to see pari sleeping on arnav's side, she smiled at her and thanked an unconscious pari for helping them then she changed and she went down for the arti, where the whole family was gathered, they prayed and after that she got busy with her chores, shyam was lurking around the house and was being his usual self and trying to make anjili believe in his rubbish, nani and laxmi indulged in dress up, while mami was busy giving instructions to payal, the situation was still tensed at home as there was still no sign of arnav, it was around 12:00 pm a sleepy pari immerged from arnavs room wearing a pair of light blue boxers shorts and a tee shirt

Pari: (yawning) hi nani ma (she petted laxmi) hello lax

Nani: pari how come ur up so late its 12

Pari: oh nani ma chill its ok

Khushi: (smiled) naniji, yesterday pari was up till late with me, so I let her sleep (and then khushi went into the kitchen)

Nani: (smiled at pari) I know what u are doing, and I appreciate it

Pari: (confused) what do u mean nani ma

Everyone stopped to listen,

Nani: khushi betiya is sad because of chotte, and u are trying to divert her mind ,thank u so much pari betiya, khushi is lost without him, and I know her she will never vent out her sadness to anyone because she would not want to give them trouble, has she spoken to u about it

Shyam went alert on this point, he hoped that khushi didn't tell pari anything, pari was well aware that he was listening to the conversation carefully

Pari: no nani ma , I ask her but she never tells me only, every time I ask her she brushes it off, but I can understand that she is very sad and needs the comfort so I am providing it anyway

Anjili smiles at her and goes and sits next to her and hugs her

Anjili: thanks a lot pari, thanks for taking care of her, I am happy that u are trying to relax her, u no she is providing strenght to all of us but from inside god only knows how week she must be,

Pari: (put her hand on anjili's hand)di u also take care of urself, look at u, u have a baby in u and all u are doing is crying away and sobbing, arnav bhaya will kill me when he is back

Mami: hello hi bye bye, kyun he will kill u pari

Pari: mami, he will tell me u didn't take care of di for me, ur her younger sister and u didn't take care, di u please stop all this crying and kindly eat ur food,

Saying this she took her to the dining table and made anjili eat

Days past by shyam would often visit arnav and taunt him and the kidnappers would pretend to keep arnav hostage, things were still gloomy in the raizada house, pari would take care of khushi and khushi would take care of anjili, arnav and khushi would talk every night on the phone, things were on track aman was digging up information on shyam and what his past doings were,

It was night and arnav had again snuck in to meet khushi, he did this for the second time in 4 days, khushi knew he was coming, she was so excited, eagerly waiting for him, the thrill of him coming to meet her like this at night was giving her goose bumps ,when he entered the room, she was waiting for him with a nice plate of food, his favorite aloo puri, she made him sit on the recline and she sat on the coffee table and fed him, while he was eating they had an intense eye lock and both were so lost in each other's eyes, after dinner the two adjusted on the bed nicely in each other's arms cuddling and talking away,

Arnav: (soft husky voice) khushi

Khushi: hmm

Arnav: what are u thinking about

Khushi: about us

Arnav: what about us

Khushi: about how happy we will be, oh arnavji I am so excited (she said with enthusiasm)

Arnav: (chuckled) I am excited to u no, there is still a lot left that I have been dying to do to u

Arnav: (husky voice) that and much more

Khushi blushed, she was smiling away, and her cheeks turning red arnav loved her reactions, they were so into each other, but unfortunately the trance they had created broke with a knock on the door, khushi gasped and arnav got up and went the bathroom and khushi went to open the door

As she opened it she saw, akash and payal at the door, khushi smiled and asked them politely

Khushi: jijaji jiji u here so late

Akash: khushiji, payal was worried about u so we came to check if ur fine

Payal: (hugged her) khushi ur fine na, u didn't eat properly also, I no ur worried about arnavji, but don't worry devi maya is there to take care of him, have fate (she touched her face soft and smiled)

Khushi: jiji I am fine, don't worry, please

Payal: khushi if u want I can stay here tonight if u feel alone

Khushi was about to say something when arnav deliberately came out, akash and payal were shocked to see him, and that to with bandage on his head

Akash: (shocked) bhai

Khushi told payal and akash to come in and quickly shut the door

Arnav: (hugged her back) nani

Nani: whats going on

Arnav: I will tell u all please sit

Nani Akash and payal did as they were told they sat on the bed, and arnav started to explain to them the entire story of how shyam tricked khushi and her family, akash shocked on what he is hearing , payal started to cry, khushi held on to her, nani, speechless,

Akash: I can't believe it

Payal: (sobbing) akash I am sorry I didn't tell u, please don't be upset

Akash: (looked at payal) I wish u told me, payal

Payal letting out sobs,

Arnav: akash, it isn't her fault, look khushi never told me either, but not because she was scared but worried how I would feel,

Nani: (after moment of silence she spoke) I cannot believe that daamadji is like this,

Khushi: (crying) nani I am sorry please forgive me, I never knew he was di's husband, please I am sorry (she fell on nani's feet)

Arnav: (went to her and put his hand on her shoulder he picked her) khushi stop, shh (he hugged her and looked at nani) nani it isn't khushi's fault please believe us

Arnav then went on to explain the plan and he told akash pari and nani what he needed them to do with that akash and payal left the room nani hugged arnav and told him to take care and pari stayed back to be with khushi, it was time for arnav also to go, he hugged khushi tightly, and she hugged him back, they stood like that for 5 minutes

Khushi: (sad) I wish u didn't have to go

Arnav: I no, I also don't want to go

Khushi: I understand, u have to leave

Arnav: take care princess, and remember there is going to be a lot of that when I am back (referring to the kiss)

Khushi (blushing hid her face in his chest, he smiled) I love u

Arnav: I love u too sweetheart, (saying that he kissed her fore head and left)

Finally the day arrived khushi and arnav had a lengthy conversation where he explained to her the plan, now it was time to execute it, everything was in place akash and pari and nani knew what had to be done

It was around 6:00 am, it was dark outside and everyone was fast asleep, pari and khushi sneak out of the house from the pool entrance, pari quietly removed her car and the two women sat and drove off, it had been a whole 3 hours that they had disappeared, everyone woke up for the arti as usual,

Nani: payal betiya where is khushi,

Payal: dadi I haven't seen her since morning, I'll go check her room

Nani nodded, payal was about to go when hp came in and said

Hp: payal bhabhi, khushi bhabhi and pari are not at home

Everyone looked at each other, shyam's eyes went big as scourers

Hp: anjili betiya, khushi bhabhi and pari left early morning at around 6

Shyam: where did they go (now worried)

Hp: I don't know, I saw them leave, when I came to take the milk in I saw pari betiya started her car and they left

Everyone was very worried

Anjili: (sobbing) how could they just go like this, chottey also is not here and now these two disappear

Arnav nods his head, khushi and pari stand next to him

Arnav: khushi u remember when u bought so many plants for me and convince me to stop lavanya, when I was hugging lavanya, why were u crying,

Khushi: (she pouted as remembered) naturally off corse I was sad, even though I wasn't sure my feelings for u I was sad because the fact that u were going to be someone else's hurt me, I felt so low, even though lavanyaji was my friend I still didn't want to share u with anyone (she said in a possessive tone)

Arnav saw her and lightly placed a kiss on her cheek she blushed at his lips on her cheeks then he said

Khushi: (now beetroot red and smiling) arnavji stop

Arnav smiled

Khushi: ok now my turn, ur asking me about why I was so sad when u were with lavanya ji I want to ask u why were u so effected by nanheji

They sat in the car and pari was driving khushi looked sad, but still her face was calm and she was relieved that her arnav was alright, pari noticed it and tried to talk to her

Pari: oho, mami, ya we were suppose to go shopping but we didn't instead we went for a movie, and not just any movie a romantic movie, (she looked at khushi and smiled) I think the movie made her remember all the good times that she will have when bhaya comes back,(she was teasing khushi)

Khushi: (turned red) uh woh... uh no naniji she is just troubling me

Everyone started laughing, shyam was getting suspicious... later khushi went to the room she closed the door and sighed in relief, she turned around and to her surprise standing there was shyam, she looked in anger

Khushi: what are u doing here (she shouted)

Shyam: don't shout khushiji, I am here to ask u where had u gone that u look so happy

Khushi: that's none of your business

Shyam: it is my business after all I love u, everything that effects u effects me as well

Khushi: stop it, stop your nonsense, and go away

Shyam: not until u tell me whats going on

Khushi: (frustrated) nothing is going on, everyone in the house is trying to make me happy because I miss my husband, and for their sake I have put on a happy face understood

Shyam truanted along, she shut the door and again took a sigh, and then she went to the wardrobe and removed her night dress to change,

It was around 11:00 khushi was staring at the ceiling blankly, lying on her side of the bed, suddenly a noise... beep beep, she turned to look at her mobile, it was a message, she pressed the ok button and the message opened up, the sender was arnav a smile broke on her face reading his name,

Khushi: (pretending to be difficult typed back) no why would I miss u, I am missing someone else

Khushi: what are u doing here

Arnav: (smiled) I came to see my wife

Khushi: arnavji, what if some one sees u (worried)

Arnav: no one will see me, don't worry,

Khushi: (angry) how could u take such a big risk, what if shyam sees u

Arnav: (took her to the bed and made her sit down) khushi here I am risking my life to come and meet u and u are doing all this drama (looking away)

Khushi: (became calmer) arnavji, I am happy u are here, I am just scared that what if someone sees u that's it

Arnav: no one will I promise, don't worry pari let me in

Khushi sighed and then went back into his arms, arnav sat against the back rest of the bed, khushi sat on his lap, he put his arms around her belly keeping her tight and secure, they sat there for long, talking and chatting away, suddenly khushi jerked with happiness and turned around to see him

Arnav: my plan, even though I knew the truth I had to pretend that I was upset with u,my original plan was to pretend that I was going to London, but I was actually going to stay back and watch what shyam was up to, i knew in my absence he would do something wrong I was just waiting to see what, i couldn't tell u all of this because I needed it to look real, if u knew the truth, the desired effect on shyam wouldn't have been triggered, when I came back I heard u tell shyam that he should tell me the truth, I heard him make a deal with u saying that he will only tell me the truth, if u made me sign some papers, at first u said no to him, but after him pestering u, u finally agreed, when u came to me with akash's set of papers I knew u would make me sign his as well without me knowing, because I wanted to see what shyam was upto I signed them quietly, I knew u had told him to come to the airport to talk to me, but he didn't show up, he tricked u, as per my plan I had to still be against u and so I was pretending to leave (he had a tear drop in his eye),when u were begging me at the air port, I fell week seeing u like this, but I had to behave cold hearted, it wasn't easy for me, at that time I wasn't only hurting u but I was hurting myself, seeing u like this, while walking towards the airport I was going to turn back because I had reached my level of saturation, I broke I was coming to tell u the truth, I turned around but suddenly some strange man who claimed he was air port security said that he needed to talk to me and so I followed him, he took me to a room and made me unconscious, after 24 hours I opened my eyes and saw that I was here, when I opened my eyes I saw shyam in front of me and he told me that I was kidnapped, for 4 days they whipped me and beat me up, shyam would visit off and on, my plan was failing and at this rate shyam was winning so I turned the tables around when shyam wasn't there I struck a deal with his men and told them that I would pay double if they would work for me instead, I got aman to transfer the money to their account winning their trust, and ever since then they have been pretending to kip nap me in front of shyam, things were going back on track, the next step was that I had to let u know that I wasn't in London and I was here, and that something is wrong so I made aman call u from a London number saying that I didn't come to London, I also knew that u wouldn't hide something like this from akash, and I knew he would tell the police, so I roped the police in as well and told them to follow a fake investigation, I needed only u to find me,so I could prove it to shyam that no matter how hard he tried u would u find me, but I knew your confidence was low because u thought I didn't believe u, that's where pari came in, I called her from austrailia and explained to her what she needs to do, and she did exactly, I knew u would feel lost in this situation and I knew that u needed some support, pari was ideal for this job because no one would suspect her, also with her around I felt closer to u, she made sure that u knew my feelings for u so ur confidence increases, and it did u found me khushi, my heart always told me that u would find me no matter what...

A quite khushi listened to her husband as he revealed his plan to her, the ground beneath her legs had disappeared, she couldn't believe what she was hearing, this was all arnav's plan, she thought arnav was week but he wasn't he was just acting and hurting himself, khushi slowly looked up at him, shocked she didn't know whether to be angry or happy,

They both stared at each other and then finally, khushi just fell into his arms and hugged him tightly he cuddled her up in his strong muscles, feeling her head on his heart, he just took her in, their eyes shut in a trance and he could feel his breath over her head, he inhaled her jasmine scented perfume, they stood like that for a long time and slowly khushi looked up at him, he opened his dark brown eyes saw her looking at him, she had a glow on her face and a small smile on her lips, with her cheeks changing her rouge to lushes red, slowly they separated and khushi stood in front of him, there was silence and arnav decided to break it

Arnav: khushi!! (he said with a husky voice)

Khushi: (looked at him dreamingly) is this all a dream, or is it real (she said softly)

Arnav: (chuckled) its real my love,

Khushi: (still new to the idea, after the confession) did u just call me ur love

Arnav: (this made arnav laughs loudly, something he rarely did) yeah I just called u my love, why u don't like it

Khushi: I don't like!!! I love it, I just can't believe that this is actually happening

Arnav: well then get use to it, because from now on its only going to be like this

She smiled at him, arnav realized that he hadn't asked for her forgiveness

Arnav: khushi there is just one thing I have to say and get off my chest

Khushi: now what arnavji

Arnav: (he looked into her eyes) I am sorry, (he said in a low tone with his head down) I am sorry that I didn't believe u, and fell for what shyam told me, I no that's its going to be difficult but if u can I will be very grateful to u

Khushi: arnavji, but because of me u lost all your hard earned money, I made u sign those papers (she looked sad)

Arnav: (smiled and lifted her chin up with his hand) its not ur fault, its ok

Khushi: its not ok, I wish I hadn't listened to him, now what are we going to do

Arnav: khushi calm down, its fine, everything that belonged to me is still mine and will always be mine, including u

Khushi: (blushed but then asked)what do u mean

Arnav: I signed the papers but my signature was fake, when he goes to testify the documents with my signature he will find out its fake and the police will arrest him

shyam left the venue, khushi and pari waited for two minutes to see when the ghost was clear but those two minutes' shook khushi's entire perspective on the situation she couldn't believe what she saw next, the same man who had put the bag on his face and tied him up was removing the bag and untying the same arnav, what was happening khushi was shocked, pari and khushi looked at each other and khushi was confused, why was he helping him, it was good that he was but why ,wasn't he shyams man, and wasn't arnav the victim whats going on, suddenly the man spoke in a loud voice

man: u can come out, its fine shyams gone

pari and khushi looked at each other and then slowly they emerged from the side wall and saw arnav was standing right in front of them, khushi was in tears she didn't think of anything and she straight ran into his arms, and hugged him tightly, she cried and cried in his arms and arnav slowly wrapped his arms around her tiny waist, and reciprocated the hug, khushi had forgotten everything, she forgot that he was in a bad condition, and that he was angry at her, she forgot the misunderstanding the fact that he didn't believe her and how he separated from her the airport, those few days of separation from him felt like eternity for her, a few minutes later she looked up at him and saw him looking at her with those dark brown eyes, she slowly separated herself from him and said

khushi: (concerned) what happened, how did u reach here, and are u ok, have u had ur medicine (all in one breath)

arnav: (smiled at her looking at her in front of him, he slowly caressed the worried lines of her face while khushi closed her eyes as he touched her,) khushi... I am fine, don't worry

khushi: (opened her eyes to his voice) arnavji look at u, (she pointed at him with a hand gesture) u haven't been home for days, everyone is worried di , nani akash everyone is worried

arnav: (still smiling at her) and u? are u worried

khushi: off corse I am worried (she cried and her voice sounded shaky)

pari and the man who were looking at them decided to give them some privacy

pari: arnav bhaya, I think u 2 need some time, we will wait in the other room

arnav nodded and then pari and the man left

arnav wiped off the tears from her face and she looked at him,

khushi: arnavji believe me, please please believe me I beg u (she folded her hands and started to cry) I don't love shyam, I don't please believe me

Flash back

Arnav enters the gupta house,

Buaji: hai re nand kishore, arnav babua did u forget something

Arnav: no I didn't, buaji I need to talk to u and aunty

Buaji: garima, has gone to the market, but u can tell me what happened,

Arnav came and sat on the sofa next to shashee's wheel chair

Arnav and buaji now shocked, babuji slowly explained to them how shyam had hurt him, when he found out the truth, he was going to tell everyone but shyam tampered with his asthma problem leading to a heart attack, arnav was shocked, he couldn't believe how low shyam was, he assured them that he will not leave shyam, he also told shashee not to let anyone know that he can talk again, because if shyam found out he would try and harm him, buaji and shashee agreed to keep mum on the issue
